Miss Gay Maryland this weekend at the Hippo

Miss Gay Maryland America holds its annual pageant at the Hippo (1 W. Eager St., Baltimore) Friday night. It runs through Sunday. The host hotel is the Tremont Plaza Hotel (222 Saint Paul St., Baltimore).

Categories include male interview, solo talent, evening gown, on-stage question and talent. Prizes include cash, a necklace set and paid hotel accommodations.

Deadline has passed to enter the contest but the proceedings are open to the public. Tonight is the Miss Gay Maryland revue show. Doors open at 10 p.m.; the show starts at 10:30. Saturday is preliminary night. Doors open at 7; pageant at 8. Final night is Sunday with doors at 6; pageant at 7.
