The Grammy Awards didn’t just announce winners, but also created some mention worthy highlights from the ceremony on Monday.

Taylor Swift won album of the year for “1989” and urged women to ignore people “who will try to undercut your success” and to just work hard on their accomplishments. Kendrick Lamar, who won five Grammys including Best Rap Album for “To Pimp a Butterfly,” gave a passionate, jazz inspired performance about the Black Lives Matter movement.

Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson landed Record of the Year for “Uptown Funk.” Adele also performed “All I Ask” from her hit album “25.” However, the songstress encountered some difficulties with her mic cutting out and disrupting the flow of the song.

The cast of “Hamilton” also performed live from the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City. The Broadway sensation sang the musical’s opening number “Alexander Hamilton” and later won a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.

Lady Gaga honored the late David Bowie in a musical tribute.Ā Sporting a red wig, Lady Gaga transformed herself into Bowie’s iconic styles from the Ziggy Stardust and White Duke eras of his career. Ā She ran through a medley of his greatest hits including “Rebel Rebel,” “Space Oddity” “Changes” and “Let’s Dance.”

The set ended with a rendition of “Heroes” accompanied by guitarist Neil Rodgers.
