Eddie Redmayne advocates for homeless LGBT youth

Eddie Redmayne took time out of his schedule while in L.A. for the Oscars to visit the L.A. LGBT center.

According to Gay Times Magazine, Redmayne had breakfast with 70 homeless LGBT youth and was moved to record a PSA.

ā€œThe problem is especially acute for transgender youth,ā€ Redmayne, who portrayed transgender iconĀ Lili Elbe in “The Danish Girl” says. ā€œWho are far more likely to suffer violence and abuse on the streets, and who have a much more difficult time finding employment.ā€

In the PSA, Redmayne urges for donations to help keep the center running.

The center provides food, clothing, a GED program, employment and the only beds specifically for homeless LGBT youth in Los Angeles.
