In collaboration with the Harvey Milk Foundation,Ā Levi Strauss & Co. has created a Pride-themed, gender neutral clothing line.

Items include denim shorts with a rainbow patch on the back, a Pride T-shirt and hat featuring a rainbow batwing and a denim jacket with the Milk quote “Hope will never be silent.”

ā€˜The Leviā€™s x Harvey Milk Foundation Pride 2016 collection is the physical representation of Leviā€™s belief in equality for all people while continuing the legacy of one outspoken, courageous and pioneering individual whose inspiring example will never be forgotten,” a company spokesperson told WWD.Ā

Grant Barth, chief merchandising officer at Levi Strauss & Co., explained why the company chose to honor Milk.

ā€œHarvey was a true leader, whose passion was palpable and has expanded the decades since his untimely assassination,ā€ Barth told WWD. ā€œHe brought not only the LGBTQ community forward, but he fought for the visibility of all minorities.ā€

A portion of proceeds earned from the clothing line will benefit the Harvey Milk Foundation.
