James Franco is remaking the 1996 T.V. movie “Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?” into a vampire lesbian love story on Lifetime.

Vulture reports Franco is the executive producer for the 2016 adaptation “Mother,” which will haveĀ theater major Leah surprising her mom Julie with Pearl, a new love interest.

ā€œJulie tries to embrace the idea of Leahā€™s new love interest, but she canā€™t shake the feeling that something is very wrong.Ā Julieā€™s suspicions lead to a startling discovery about Pearl that puts Leah in serious danger. Will Julie be able to save her daughter from an eternity of heartache before itā€™s too late?” reads Lifetime’s description of the movie.

Lifetime describes the movie as aĀ ā€œvampire love story that brings a whole new meaning to ā€˜sleeping with danger.'”

Tori Spelling, who played the thrill-seeking daughter in the original movie, will be playing the mother. Leila George stars as daughter Leah and Emily Meade plays the role of Pearl. Franco, whoĀ recently explained his fascination with gay themes in films versus heteronormative narratives, will also appear in the film.

Details on Franco’s character have yet to be released.Ā

“Mother” airs on June 18.
