Gay contestant Brian Justin Crum delivered another judge approved performance, advancing him through to the live shows, on Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent.”

Before taking the stage, Crum and his mother shared the story of how he was bullied as a child for being overweight and gay. Crum then performed a cover of “Creep” by Radiohead. There was none of the typical cheering and screaming during the performance’s high notes. Instead, the crowd and judges were stunned into silence over Crum’s emotional rendition.

“I think we all feel like we’re creeps, and we’re weirdos, and we’re different,” judge Howie Mandel told Crum. “[But] we all belong here.” Later Mandel told the other judges, Mel B, Simon Cowell, George Lopez and Heidi Klum, “I felt like he was singing to me.”

Following the performance’s airing, Crum tweeted “We are all creeps and weirdos. Im so blessed to share this journey with you. You are loved you are special.”
