Conor McGregor caught on camera using homophobic slur at UFC event
the fighter addressed his friend’s opponent with a derogatory term
UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor was caught on camera using a homophobic slur at UFC Fight Night 118, Forbes reports.
The fight,Ā which was betweenĀ Artem Lobov andĀ Andre Fili, took place inĀ Gdansk, Poland. McGregor,Ā who is teammates and closeĀ friends with Lovob, spent the match screaming words of encouragement to Lovob. His antics caused the referee to ask him to stop towards the end of the fight.
āWhatās got into you, man?ā the referee addressed McGregor from inside the cage. āCāmon. Sit down, please. Be a professional.ā
Lobov was defeated by Fili and backstage after the match McGregor was caught on camera addressing Fili as a “fa*got.”
āI thought you were going to sleep him,ā McGregor tells Lobov. āAll Iām saying, heās a fa*got. I never knew he was a fa*got.ā
McGregor has been pro-same-sex marriage in the past even making a Twitter post urging people to vote for equality in his home country of Ireland.

The senior living and healthcare organization Goodwin Living held its fourth annual community Pride march around its Bailey’s Crossroads campus in Falls Church, Va. with residents, friends and supporters on Tuesday, June 25.
