Indie-electro trio Years & Years has announced their new album “Palo Santo” will be released on July 6.

The name is Spanish for “holy wood,” a wood incense from the coast of South America used for medicinal and spiritual purposes.

The announcement included a short film, directed by Fred Rowson, which features a voiceover from Dame Judi Dench. It also stars Years & Years’ out lead singer Olly Alexander and Thai actor Vithaya Pansringarm.

“Palo Santo has also become a city on a distant planet, on which human beings are a rare commodity, worshipped and idolized by an android society. Olly, along with the final humans, is recruited to perform in a series of bizarre erotic cabarets, for an artificial master known only as The Showman,” reads the film’s description.

The album will include the already released tracks ‘Sanctify” and “Hypnotised.”

Palo Santo… the second album !! coming 6th July 2018. Pre-order tomorrow 9AM BST ??
