Transgender men threw some shade at ScarlettĀ Johansson in a skit where they audition for old roles Johannson has played.

The skit comes in the wake ofĀ Johansson being cast as Dante “Tex” Gill, a transgender man, in the upcoming crime dramaĀ ā€œRub & Tug.ā€

After the casting choice faced backlash, Johansson’s rep issued a statement on her behalf to Bustle saying,Ā “Tell them that they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman’s reps for comment.”

The clipĀ shows Justin Chow, Scott Turner Schonefield, D’Lo and Rocco Kayiatos all take on some ofĀ Johansson’s past characters such asĀ Samantha in “Her,” Charlotte in “Lost in Translation,” Natasha Romanoff in “The Avengers” and Anna in “He’s Just Not That Into You.”

At the end of the audition, Schonefield is offered the part of Samantha. After getting excited, Schonefield asks, “Is this a female role?” When it’s confirmed that it is,Ā Schonefield declines.

“Sorry, I’m just having trouble because cis women are actually really marginalized in Hollywood, you know, and I know that there are people who have lived this experience that would bring a lot of authenticity to it and I feel a little weird about taking that from them,” SchonefieldĀ says. “Thank you so much for the opportunity and no thanks.”
