‘Who’s to say what a family is?’ commercial asks

Nissan’s new “Put your family in the Sentra” commercial for Israeli TV features same-sex parents shown in a positive, family-friendly light.

The commercial features a little girl comparing the Nissan Sentra’s versatility to the different types of families that exist including ones with same-sex parents.

“Who’s to say what a family is?” the girl asks. “Why not two mommies? Or two daddies?”

“I think you’re a family if you live together and love together,” the girl continues. “The rest doesn’t matter, as long as you put your family in the center.”
