Rayceen Pendarvis honored at 35th annual run

The 35th annual High Heel Race was held on 17th Street’s Frank Kameny Way on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Best of LGBTQ DC Most Committed Activist Rayceen Pendarvis was honored at the stage with a proclamation from the D.C. City Council. Mayor Muriel Bowser marched in the parade before the race.

The Cherry Weekend main event party was “Fire” at Betty (1235 W Street, N.E.) on Saturday, April 12. Detox of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” met with fans.

The Mr., Mx, & Miss Capital Pride Pageant was held at The Schuyler at The Hamilton Hotel on Thursday, April 3. Sirène Noir Sidora Jackson won the title of Mx Capital Pride 2025. Jackson B. Nite won the title of Mr. Capital Pride 2025. Shelita Ramen won the title of Miss Capital Pride 2025.
