Friday, June 12
Congregation Bet Mishpachah hosts aĀ National Pride ShabbatĀ at 6th and I Historic Synagogue (600 I St., N.W.) fromĀ 6:30-10 p.m.Ā today. After the service there will be a dinner served.
The third annualĀ D.C. Front Runners Pride Run 5KĀ begins at Congressional Cemetery (1801 E St., S.E.) atĀ 7 p.m.Ā tonight. Admission to the race is sold out. After the race there will be a finish line party with beer for race participants, a DJ, entertainment and an awards ceremony for the top runners.
Capital Pride and Brightest Young Things presentĀ Flashback Opening Dance Party, Prideās official opening party, at Arena Stage (1101 6th St., S.W.) tonight atĀ 8:30 p.m.Ā Adore Delano from āRuPaulās Drag Raceā and Frenchie Davis from āAmerican Idolā and āThe Voiceā will perform. Birdie LaCage, Pussy Noir and more will also make appearances. DJ Shea Van Horn, DJ Matt Bailer and many more will play music for the night. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the party. There is no dress code but staying on theme with ā80s workout clothing is encouraged.
Saturday, June 13
Rainbow History Project hosts aĀ historic gay D.C. walking tourĀ beginning at the Dupont Circle Fountain today fromĀ 10-11:30 a.m.Ā Brock Thompson will guide the tour to visit bars, homes and protest sports that held significance to LGBT activism in the ā70s and ā80s.
Dupont Circle Hotel (1500 New Hampshire Ave., N.W.) hostsĀ Crack ofĀ Noon: Parade Day Pride BrunchĀ today fromĀ noon-3 p.m.Ā There will be a gourmet buffet, complimentary mimosa and cash bar featuring Stoli cocktails. There will also be a meet and greet with special guests. Tickets are $65 and must be purchased in advance.
There will be aĀ Family Fun ZoneĀ during the Capital Pride Parade at Stead Park (1625 P St., N.W.) today fromĀ 3-8 p.m.Ā There will be crafts, water inflatables, yard games, balloon art, snacks, face painting and much more.
The Capital Pride ParadeĀ starts at 22nd and P Streets and moves through the Dupont and Logan Circle neighborhoods today fromĀ 4:30-7:30 p.m.Ā There will be floats, entertainment, drag queens, local businesses, politicians and much more.
SMYAL hostsĀ Queer and Now,Ā a youth dance party, at National City Christian Church (5 Thomas Cir., N.W.) tonight fromĀ 6-10 p.m.Ā There will be food, dancing and HIV testing. Admission is free.
The Ladies of Lure, TAGG Magazine and Capital Pride presentĀ F.U.S.E.,Ā a womenās dance party, at Howard Theatre (620 T St., N.W.) tonight fromĀ 9 p.m.-3 a.m.Ā Tickets are $15.
Scorpio Entertainment and Troyal Events hostĀ #UndergroundthrowdownĀ at Dance Loft (4618 14th N.W.) tonight fromĀ 9 p.m.-2 a.m.Ā Music will be focused on the past four decades of gay culture in celebration of Prideās 40th anniversary. Admission is 18 to enter and 21 to drink.
MixtapeĀ ,a gay dance party, is atĀ 9:30Ā Club (815 V St., N.W.) tonight atĀ 11 p.m.Ā DJ Matt Bailer and DJ Shea Van Horn will play music for the night. Tickets are $15.
Sunday, June 14
Scandal D.C. hostsĀ Ladies Tea, a ladies dance party, at Penn Social (801 E St., N.W.) fromĀ 4 p.m.-midnight.
The Capital Pride FestivalĀ is today fromĀ noon-7 p.m.Ā along Pennsylvania Ave. between 3rd and 7th streets. There will be vendors, food, music, entertainment and much more.
The Pride ConcertĀ presented by Hot 99.5 is at the Capitol Concert Stage in front of the U.S. Capitol Building today fromĀ 1-9 p.m.Ā Performers include Wilson Phillips, En Vogue, Katy Tiz and Carly Rae Jepson.
The Cherry Fund and Capital Pride hostĀ an after hours charity dance eventĀ at Tropicalia (2001 14th St., N.W.) fromĀ 3:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.Ā DJ X Gonzalez and Sean Morris will play techno and house music. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
Flower Party, Prideās official closing party, is at Cobalt (1639 R St., N.W.) tonight fromĀ 10 p.m.-2 a.m.Ā Tickets are $5.

Celebrate July 4 with area fireworks displays
Festivities planned for National Mall, Baltimore, Rehoboth Beach

The National Mall is the most popular place to watch the D.C. fireworks display; spread a blanket near the Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, or the Lincoln Memorial. The 17-minute display starts at 9:09 p.m. and will be launched from both sides of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
In Baltimore, the Inner Harbor Fourth of July festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and the fireworks and drone show will begin at 9:30 p.m. downtown at the harbor.
The fireworks in Rehoboth Beach, Del., will be held on Saturday, July 6.

The 2024 Smithsonian Folklife Festival takes place on the National Mall June 26āJuly 1, with the program āIndigenous Voices of the Americas: Celebrating the National Museum of the American Indian.ā
Since 1967, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival has been held on the National Mall; events are free. Festival hours are 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m., with evening concerts Friday through Sunday from 5:30-7 p.m. For details on specific events, visit festival.si.edu/visit.

The 2024 Arlington Pride Festival will be held Saturday, June 29 at 12 p.m. at Long Bridge Park.
This event will be a gathering of the community showcasing local talent, food, and vibrant entertainment. The event will be a celebration of diversity and love.
